Content Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Overview
This Content Policy describes content services supplied directly under the SLEEEK name and applies only where SLEEEK is identified as the Supplier or an accepted agreement incorporates it. An independent photography business using the SLEEEK CRM contracts with its own clients under its organization-owned booking terms. Content does not become SLEEEK property merely because it is stored, processed, edited, or delivered through the Platform.
Content Ownership
Copyright and other rights depend on the creator, employment or commissioning relationship, applicable law, and any written assignment or licence. For work supplied directly by SLEEEK, the accepted booking terms identify the Supplier, rights-holder, and client licence. This policy does not override that allocation or claim rights owned by an independent photographer, employer, client, or other creator.
This includes:
- • Still photography
- • Drone and aerial footage
- • Video and film content
- • Floor plans and site plans
- • 3D tours and virtual walkthroughs
- • Virtual staging and digital enhancements
- • Written property descriptions and copy
- • Editorial content and microsites
Your License
Your exact licence is the one stated in the accepted booking document or another written agreement with the relevant rights-holder. A typical paid property-campaign licence may allow the following channels for the identified property, but this summary does not make the licence perpetual or expand its campaign, territory, duration, relisting, transfer, or sublicensing scope:
- • List on property portals (Trade Me Property, realestate.co.nz, etc.)
- • Share on social media platforms
- • Include in print advertising and brochures
- • Display on signboards and window cards
- • Use in email marketing for that property
- • Include in MLS/multi-listing services
License Restrictions
Your license does NOT extend to:
- • Reselling or sublicensing the content
- • Using content to advertise services other than the property itself
- • Transferring files to third parties (architects, designers, homeowners) without permission
- • Modifying, altering, or creating derivative works without approval
- • Using content after a refund has been processed
Third-Party Licensing
Agent Changes
Where SLEEEK is the relevant rights-holder, a different agent taking over a listing may request a separate third-party licence. Any availability, fee, scope, and permitted channels must be confirmed in writing; the original booking does not automatically transfer the licence.
Homeowner/Vendor Requests
A property owner does not automatically receive copyright or a transferable content licence merely by owning the property. The accepted booking document identifies the licensed client. A homeowner or vendor seeking another use should contact the relevant Supplier or rights-holder for written permission.
Other Professionals
Architects, builders, interior designers, stagers, and other third parties need permission covering their intended use unless the existing licence already permits it. They should contact the relevant Supplier or rights-holder rather than assume the property campaign licence transfers to them.
Editorial Standards
All content created by SLEEEK adheres to our editorial standards:
Accuracy
We represent properties accurately. We won't create content that materially misrepresents the property or could mislead potential buyers about its condition, size, or features.
What We Will Do
- • Remove temporary items (bins, cars, garden hoses)
- • Blur faces in personal photos
- • Add fire to empty fireplaces
- • Declutter surfaces
- • Virtual staging of empty rooms (clearly labeled)
- • Sky replacement with realistic alternatives
- • Minor lawn enhancement
- • Color correction and exposure balancing
What We Won't Do
- • Change the color of the property
- • Hide structural damage or defects
- • Remove permanent fixtures
- • Alter room sizes or proportions
- • Add features that don't exist
- • Create misleading representations
Virtual Staging
Virtually staged or materially altered images should be clearly labelled where the change could affect a viewer's decision. Applicable law, regulator guidance, client policy, and publication-channel rules may impose more specific disclosure requirements.
SLEEEK provides both staged and unstaged versions of any virtually staged images. The client is responsible for ensuring proper disclosure in all listings.
SLEEEK is not liable for any claims arising from failure to disclose virtual staging.
AI-Generated Content
SLEEEK uses AI tools to assist with content creation, including:
- • Property descriptions and copy
- • Video scripts
- • Editorial content suggestions
- • Image enhancements (sky replacement, virtual staging)
AI-assisted content must be reviewed before publication for property accuracy, misleading alterations, protected material, personal information, discrimination, and required disclosure. The person publishing it remains responsible for the final approval required by the applicable booking agreement and local rules.
SLEEEK's Use of Content
SLEEEK does not use booked property content for an unrelated portfolio, stock library, advertising campaign, or AI/model-training dataset under this Content Policy alone. Each optional purpose requires separate, express permission from the relevant rights-holder or authorised person and may be declined without affecting the booked service. Where permission is granted, its recorded scope may include:
- • Portfolio and website
- • Social media accounts
- • Marketing and advertising materials
- • Training and educational content
- • Trade shows and presentations
Removing a property address or another identifier does not by itself create copyright, privacy, publicity, or property authority. Withdrawing permission stops future uses under SLEEEK's control, subject to any lawful retention requirement and copies already supplied to third-party channels.
Media and Press
Media outlets, publishers, and other third parties do not receive a licence from this page. They must obtain permission from the relevant rights-holder for the proposed editorial, promotional, or commercial use and preserve any required attribution, editing disclosure, and licence conditions.
Copyright Infringement
Unauthorized use of SLEEEK content is copyright infringement. If we discover our content being used without a valid license, we will:
- • Issue a takedown notice
- • Invoice for unauthorized usage at our standard commercial rates
- • Pursue legal action if necessary
If you become aware of SLEEEK content being used without authorization, please let us know at [email protected].
RAW Files
RAW files are supplied only where the order expressly includes them. Where an order does not include them, none are supplied: RAW captures stay part of the editing workflow and what you receive are the finished, professionally edited deliverables. Whether a studio sells original camera files at all is that studio's own setting.
File Retention
We retain your files for 12 months from the delivery date. After that, files may be archived or deleted. During the 12-month period, you can request files be re-sent at no charge.
Retrieval of archived files (after 12 months) is subject to a $50 retrieval fee and availability is not guaranteed.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Content Policy from time to time. The version that applies to your engagement is the one in effect when you book your shoot. We'll notify existing clients of significant changes.
